I plan to sew the sashing and cornerstones on this wall hanging. It is a sample for my Etsy shop and I really need to get it up.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in Canada!

I need to finish up some curtains for a Sunday School classroom this weekend. Also, I want to make a small quilted wallhanging for our home. Hopefully I will accomplish and complete these two projects in the VQW.

I'm in, too. This wk. I started a quilt for a very special friend. Without the work he did on my house this summer I'm sure it wouldn't have sold as quickly as it did. He helped with decisions when my back was up against a wall. Besides paying him as we went, I gave him a huge bonus when the sale closed. There were no words to thank him for his emotional support.

Now I'm making him a quilt using "10 Minute" blocks. I'm using a fabric with eagles as the center pc because I had a pr. of eagles over my lake & often landed in my trees. I'm thinking of using eagle appliqués in sev places.

First project done --the Lone Star top. For some reason, its puffy in the center though.

Beautiful projects, Raggiemom and Diannia!

Hubby will be working both today and tomorrow, so I'm hoping to get a lot done. Piecing split nine patch blocks right now. Most of the squares are from swaps here on the board.

I also want to cut fabric for a quilt that will be a Christmas gift for my oldest son. Still auditioning gray fabrics.

Really enjoy VQW and seeing what everyone is working on.

Diannia, are your blocks embroidered or appliqued? So cute!

What a good idea! This is a long weekend here in Spain, so I will try to take advantage of it because I need to complete a baby quilt for a newborn.

I'm a beginner and have lots of questions at every step, but I'm sure the job will be less hard with your companionship (you can count with mine, too... although I'm afraid the only thing I can offer is moral support!)

Nice projects, Raggiemom and Diannia. Kele, I love your grays and blues!

Lovely projects shown so far everyone....and what a cute kitty! I decided to work on my Row by Row... I have the center 9 rows stitched together already and just working on both the side rows now. This row was a pattern from the Quilt Rack in Vegreville, Alberta. http://www.clothingstorevegreville.com/Company Their sample was an Asian looking fabric with lily pads and butterflies printed on it, but it would not have worked in my quilt. So I decided to fussy cut some frogs from a backing fabric bought a few years ago in the States (I think it was at Joann's) then machine appliquéd them to some darker lily pad fabric that I thought would go with the rest of my rows. I also decided to make the row vertical so the froggies weren't tipped over...although in their yoga positions you might not have noticed. Some of the shops went over and above with their patterns, this shop had a minimal line drawing for theirs, but it's a cute little town and now that they've participated this year they will have more of an idea of what might be expected if they choose to participate in the 2016 project. It's a cute little shop in the back of a ladies clothing shop.... can't get much better than that!
