A Wal-Mart in Clarksburg WV had a table to get rid of all their material. It was too good to be true!! 5 yards for $3.00. There was cotton, but a lot of polyester. I got some great fabrics.

Great deals on that fabric, I can't resist a good bargain. Wow, I'm heading out that way from Mass. this weekend. (well, actually near Washington, PA) I may check it out.

I've been there, but I usually stop at the Summersville, Weston and Elkins stores. I sure hope that they haven't closed their departments. If they are in the process of closing, I hope they have some good deals. Often, so it seems, it's all of the stores in the reach of the servicing distribution center. I couldn't believe how nice most of this stuff was. Felt like Kona. Tight weave, a real good hand.

Great buys, and what a great time you had! I have to add, when I heard that all the Walmarts were getting rid of their fabric, I called several of my local Walmarts to ask them if they still had fabric. They all said no. I don't go to Walmart much, and now without fabric, I really had no reason to go, so I've stayed away for months.

The other day I needed to stop at Walmart for something specific, and while I was there I thought I'd stroll to the back of the store to see what they had replaced the fabric with. Lo and behold, there was the fabric department. I asked the young girl working at the counter when they had gotten their fabric back, and she said it never went away! I could not believe their switchboard had misinformed me!
