Post Wallhanging Ideas Needed for Signs

The children's crisis centre that I work at only has written signs on the restrooms. Which means that when the little kids go to the restroom they can't always read which room they are supposed to go into and I hear them in the hallway outside my kitchen, very upset.
I'm thinking I should make small wallhangings with pictures to put on the doors that indicate "boy" and "girl" so the kids will be able to tell.
I have to be careful, because the facility is very "politically correct", as in no race, gender, sex profiling.
Any picture ideas that say "girl" and "boy" without offending anyone?
As in, Sunbonnet Sue would get someone's hackles up.

Any suggestions appreciated for quilt ideas.

well today is seems bathrooms are going co-ed. the last bathroom sign i saw on the news was for everyone. but if where you are they would OK this, go for it!! your thoughts wouldn't offend me. just simple boy (pants) and girl (skirt). pretty much the old tried and true.

I just googled "male and female washroom signs " and there are very basic shapes that could be made into fun wall hangings if using some juvenile fabric choices.

How about making wall hangings in blue fabric and one in pink? I think this would indicate which restroom to go to for the children. Good luck and thank you for what your are thinking of doingl

Jane Quilter, when I went to your link, I scrolled down and found this one...
https://www.google.ca/search?q=male+...9s_LPZn2tiJSM:
Is this the one you meant? It's perfect!
Another option is a happy face sun without the pink cheeks with the rays in ribbons of blue or pink. https://www.google.ca/search?q=happy...hkFicxwbjTU1M:
Any other ideas? Really appreciate the help.

And children and adults would probably understand it. Although if they are very politically correct they might not like it so I don't know.

Can you just tie a pink bow on the handle to the girl's and a blue bow on the boy's? Just take about a 10" piece of ribbon, and double knot a bow around the stem of the handle so it won't come undone. The kind of bow like when you tie your shoe.

I like the Batman/Wonder Woman one. Personally, I don't like using pink/blue or skirt/pants to signify female and male - I'm a girl that never wears a skirt, and wears far more blue than pink, so these never made sense to me. If there is a lot of political correctness in this organization, they probably wouldn't approve of those gender indicators either.

Instead of something quilted, could you take pictures of a group of girls and a group of boys?
