WALMART - FABRIC BOLTS RETURN
#71
Wall Street Journal says, "Wal-Mart Stores Inc. will launch a promotional campaign next month called "It's Back," to tell core customers the discounter is restoring merchandise it removed from store shelves in a flubbed renovation effort.
Starting in May, Wal-Mart shoppers in the U.S. will see signs in stores heralding the return of fishing tackle, bolts of fabric and other "heritage" merchandise that Wal-Mart reduced or cut out altogether as it attempted to spruce up its stores."
Notice that it says "bolts of fabric." That is fine if you want to buy an entire bolt.

As Baby-Boomers we still have a lot of clout, and there is a lot of spendable cash to backup that clout.
I use to haunt the CLEARANCE aisle at WalMart, but have noticed recently items are only marked down $.50 or $1.00. I am spending less and less money at WalMart, I am buying more on-line, shipping charges are less than gas.
WalMart just got too full of themselves and forgot about the consumer and their collective power.

Hope I don't have to hold my breath for too long --- it will make me dizzy and I hate that feeling! Promises, promises .......... I'm hoping this is true and not a hype. A year or so ago we changed our grocery shopping to Wal-Mart and after finding that we could save a minimum of $50 (and most times, appreciably more) on an order, we stayed shopping there. I occasionally pick up other things that are needed but IF the fabric does return you know where that savings is going to go, don't you ............
