I also have had a Janome Jem for several years. It fits into a carry-on suitcase!! And mine flies as carry-on luggage to a quilt retreat every spring. I love it.

I have the Janome 3160 QDC machine for traveling. It weighs 12 lbs and has all your requirements except the knee lift. Comes with a lot of accessories - hard cover case, feet etc. It is a great little machine and I traded my basic Janome Gem Gold for it as it had more features than the Gem. Several of my quilting friends have this machine and we all love it.
I searched out a traveling machine by the same manufacturer as my "home" machine because the feet and bobbins were interchangeable. Not sure of all brands but worth thinking about as you make your choice.

I've had a Janome Gem for years. It is lightweight and makes a beautiful straight stitch. The one feature I wish it had is "needle down". Perhaps the newer models have it.

I have both these machines and they both are great. Janome smaller and lighter weight.

I have a Janome Gem that I bought over 20 years ago. It is so lightweight. My 8 year old g'daughter can carry it with one hand. I’ve never had a problem with it.

The Eversewn machine is very good. I have one & I love it. Weighs a little less than 15 lbs.

I have a Janome Jem Gold and it is really a workhorse and has 18 stitches that all work well.

I own a Pfaff Passport 3.0, and purchased it specifically for workshops and classes. At just under 15 lbs, it is no problem carrying to class. It has the features you are looking for, except auto presser foot up/down and no knee lift.

I love my Brother C56000i .I bought it just to take to classes, retreats and ect.I have a huge awesome Babylock , but love this small machine and use it all the time. It has anything you need on it and the price was great. Amazon $134 when I got mine. There are several of us in my Guild that have bought this one.

I have a Pfaff pass port I used for my first retreat my personal one is a 2.5 but the 3.0 has a thread cutter. It’s light has the built in walking foot. It’s called something else I just can’t spell it this morning not enough coffee. I love I am spoiled because of the machines I have mainly because of the reliability and service from where I purchased them. I sew a lot have an 18.8 with quilt artist and two creative performances plus the passport. Reliable and haven’t had any problems. When I first purchased the 18.8. It had a lot of problems the company fixed them at no charge and once the bugs were worked out it has been a work horse. Love the machine and the service.
