Warning...don't organize your stash!

I know exactly how you feel....I've spent the last couple of weeks emptying plastic bins that were FULL of fabric. I didn't think I had much fabric for clothes, but WOW, I'll bet I'm up to about 3 bins full. As for the quilting fabric, well.... I bought a huge, 5-shelf storage unit that is filled, plus I emptied 3 shelves of a bookshelf, and filled those, as well. I'm not sure I've even finished finding all the containers of fabrics yet. Have fun with yours - I know I don't have to go fabric shopping for a long time, either!

After 7 years of quilting I finally have a quilting studio...someplace I thought I could put all my sewing stuff. Well, today my DH was putting up shelves and he asked what all those little pieces of fabrics were in the bins on my shelving unit. I have just spent two days emptying and sorting through 10 underbed and 1 of those small black tubs and I was proud of the fact that I can now see it and get to it to make quilt blocks. Then he said I'd have to make 500 quilts to use up all my fabric. hmmmmm, you think I ought to make the rest of my stash visible?

I intend to use as much of it as possible and when it no longer brings me pleasure or I can't stitch any longer, my daughters have been instructed to share it with those who love fabric too.
