I like to "feel" fabric before buying and that is why I don't care for buying fabric on-line. Just me.

I don't buy much fabric online. My cousin, before she died, had ordered fabric from Marshall's for a quilt I was making for one of my sisters, and I knew what the fabric was like -- when I ran short of fabric, I did order more of it from Marshall's, but I'm not sufficiently familiar with quilting fabric suppliers online, so yes, I generally buy it in person. I don't like to starch either, because once the quilt is finished, I would end up washing the quilt in a giant-size front-loading machine and it would take two cycles to get the starch out -- I've since ceased the starching and I haven't had any problem with my quilts, either!
