I have the TV on, tuned to music only channels. Have over 40 different ones to chose from. 1812 Overature is great for loops and swirls on the quilting frame

Maybe it is the sound more than the pictures, but most movies can be watched with half an eye and half an ear. Sewing during sports is even better because of the replays when anything exciting happens.

Same here - I love watching old movies on TCM. Have seen many of them more than once but always stop quilting at the good parts.

I have Netflix on mostly and can rewind if I think I have missed something important. I listen for the most part.

I don't have a tv in my studio but I use my Ipad and listen to great uplifting shows.

Hey, Deborah how'd ya like the Ryder Cup this year?? 3 days of so much fun. I actually got so into it that I didn't sew for the whole weekend. Yes, golf is the way - I can sew and just raise my head when one of my favs is up.

PS: I have a soft spot for the Europeans. Sorry!

I too, use the TV for noise/company. If you have a computer you can always watch the OregonQuilting programs on youtube or on the web site www.oregonquilting.weebly.com We have just started taping our new series and I was really nervous on our first programs but think I am getting better.

Old Star Trek series on Netflix... I know them all by heart, so I don't really have to pay attention. It's like comfort food, or petting the cat. It just takes my mind off world issues so I can relax while I "work" with my fabric.

I am a listener as well... and if it gets to something good .. I stop and look up. I will say Dancing with the Stars is tough .. I find I have to use that time as a ironing only , even then not much production happens.
