I have been saving all year and when I was at my LQS there it was. A Husqvarna Viking Designer Brilliance 80. Suzy-Q said please take me home. Got a cracker jack deal with lots of bells and whistles so Merry Christmas to me.

I ordered a insert for my Eversewn 30, I think I"m as excited to have that coming as I might have been about a new machine! I bought a gorgeous vintage cabinet and the whole works will go in our 5th wheel. So excited!

I always have three machines set up also. My big Janome, my Singer 404, and my Singer 66 treadle.

You and Peckish are truly blessed to have such wonderful. thoughtful husbands. I have a longarm, too, (APQS). Although my husband also supports my quilting hobby, I had to buy my longarm myself. I bought it in 2011 and have loved it since day 1! I quilt for customers besides working full time, but I enjoy it because my quilting money is my fun money which I use to go to Quilt Retreats, buy my quilting fun stuff, and visit my two children who both live out of state. My husband and I each have our own children so it works best for us to each have our own money situation. Which works great for me because he would be appalled if he knew how much money I spent on quilting fabric, supplies, retreats, etc!

You are definitely not the only one with more than one machine set up at the same time. Currently, I have the Bernina Artista, Bernina Serger, 301a, white FW, Centennial FW, Juki 2200 QVP and the Rocketeer all set up

I to tend to use the machine that has the right color thread on it.

Thank you! It definitely has. The new machine is a dream compared to the old one. Congratulations on your new long arm!

aborning, I was on the fence between the Bernina longarm and the APQS Millie...it was a tough decision. I can’t imagine working full time and finding time to quilt for customers.
