    I'd like it hanging "portrait" vs. "landscape."

    Actually I would have to put some applique flowers on it and then determine the top and bottom. Tulips would be fun or Irises maybe sunflowers One large one with a bee well something else to think about.

    I like the darker on the bottom, it seems like a drip that settles and makes it darker.

    Yep. Darker on top. I agree with Nativetexan. Snow on the mountain tops. Very beautiful!

    I would hang with the dark color on the bottom. It grounds the piece and creates good balance.

    I like the second one - but it really doesn't matter - you could switch it around depending on your mood.
