I underpin and have a friend who pins way too much in my opinion-but that is ok.

Doesn't this gum up your needle? It sounds easy, but ...?

I only ever pin points and borders. Otherwise I rely on my 1/4" foot and good seam pressing practice, eg for nesting at intersections etc. I feel that too many pins can actually distort the seam and so decrease my accuracy. Plus, I'm lazy! LOL

I always pin my seams before sewing. I seldom piece a bias seam, but when I do I always make sure it it pinned to keep it from stretching. I seldom rip a seam, I figure its better to pin so the seam is right.

Sometimes I pin. Sometimes I don't. I don't feel very helpful this morning. LOL.

I don't pin much only to match seams etc. I may try to glue idea though, I have some of Roxanne's glue in bottle with a tiny applicator that would work well.

I'm interested in the end result and so, yes I pin!
And Pin again! And since I'm not too fond of the quarter inch foot, I mark the quarter inches on the fabric. Yes it takes time, but the results keep me from tearing out my hair and the seams!!!!
