I understand your concern. I think I would ask her to rethink her choice. We all know how we change our color scheme every few years and I think I would suggest colors that would blend with that in mind. The black and grey would work, using white as your background.

ManiacQuilter2, I have seen Double Wedding Ring in modern colors and they were beautiful. It's all about the fabric selections, they make the quilt.
