welcome to my jungle- new quilt top
#42
my mother's husband happened to post on my facebook that i was the 'Tarzan' of quilters
so, i figured it must be time to make a jungle quilt- i've had 3 or 4 different 'wild life-jungle critters' panals on the closet shelf for years- finally decided to grab one- grab a bunch of scraps & see what i could come up with-
of course it still needs to be quilted & bound- but the top is done & turned out pretty good-
clicking on the picture makes it larger- show up the border- seems to be cut off in the posted pic---

at least i am making a dent in the scrap piles! now- to find something to use for a back...
and the sunburst blocks in the corners- almost didn't use those---but glad i decided to include them now after the fact- used up a couple other scraps with those- & made 5- not 4---the 2nd one was too small somehow---luckily had just enough to make an extra without having to come up with something else--it was a close call...scrappy quilts are such a great challenge- having to find ways to make what you have work...
