I was wondering if there were any members close to me in West Virginia. I'm always looking for new quilting buddies. I'm about 20 minutes from Hinton, WV.

Would be great to meet some members near me. Maybe we could do a Quilt retreat here. That would be so fun.

I don't live in WV but I do work in the northern panhandle of WV. Where in the state is Hinton?

It's in Summer County. Hinton is next not too far from Beckley. Have you heard of the Bluestone Dam? That's in Hinton. They have the Water Festival there. And then not far down the road from that at Talcott, WV, they have the John Henry Days. I'm hopeing to set up to sell my crafts there. Are you from Ohio? I've been in to the Northern panhandle.

No, just over the Virginia state line from West Virginia. Edinburg is off I-81 half way between Harrisonburg(south) and Winchester(north). We're about 90 miles north of Lexington,VA

I will be in Ripley West Virginia October 9-14 at the Quilting Seminar at Cedar Lakes. Great time. Good variety of classes, food is good and fellowship is wonderful and not expensive.

Ripley is about half way between Charleston and Parkersburg.
I'll be teaching two day classes and one two day class.

Holice - I just marked my calendar. HummerGarden, I'm in Mew Martinsville at the base of the northern panhandle. I'd love to meet some other board members from WV!

I've been to New Martinsville before. My daughter moved there at one time. But came back. I know there are several people here from WV. I went and did a search here. Maybe they will see this and come and chat with us.
It would be great to have a quilt retreat around here.

I will be teaching 3 classes (4 days) in Ripley in October
    Day 1 - Tube Quilting
    Day 2 - String Quilting
Day 3,4 - a variety of technique starting with simple piecing, adding borders, binding workshop and then a day long in quilt with walking foot.
Sounds like simple stuff but a lot of technique mixed in all this. I like to lan projects that can be completed in the time period or at least almost finished but with info on how to finish at home if necessary.
