That sure does look comfy....I bookmarked it and added it to my list too. That would be great for kids too!

That sound like it could be a lot of fun. And then we get to use them for the cold winter months!

Oh wow. Just thought today I need another shawl, one that's wider and longer than the ones they sell in the shops so I can wrap it around me the way I like, and in the colors I love and a pattern that's... hmmmm can I make a quilt shawl!??

So I get on here to ask whether anyone has ever made one... and here you all are already planning! lol

Great board.

I just saw this thread. This is great! It's funny but I took a small jelly roll to make the 10 minute jelly roll quilt and then realized it was really too small for a quilt. However, I thought it lookedl ike the perfect size for a prayer shawl and that's what I'm planning to finish it as. I'm just waiting for the backing I ordered to arrive. Once I finish a few other projects, I'll have to try these 2 patterns. I will post a picture of one I'm working on when I finish.

We could make a matching set - a lap quilt and a matching shawl! The lap quilt could be thrown off for getting up for ease of walking around and then the shawl can be kept around the shoulders for the warmth.

Hmmmmm - what a great nursing home resident present idea!
