Yep-so many of us have been bitten by that same critter! and I am NOT sorry to say, there is no cure. The only treatment is to make sure we get all the fabric we need to not go thru withdrawals!!

Thank you for sharing this...I too have left other loves/passions for quilting, and am now finding I really miss them and need them back in my life again...

Yes, keep the piano at least for a while. I have the quilting bug really bad and have stopped my photography work, my glass etching work, wood burning work and even scrap booking! But I still have all the stuff to step right back into it.

Don't know what it is, but if it's in the water, they're really spreading it around the globe!! I have a piano, too, but I'm organist/pianist at our church, so I sort of need mine....

I love quilting. But that said, I would not give up playing the piano or the harp if I had that talent as well. The pleasure you give yourself and others with music should not be tossed away. IMHO (smile).

Right now I have the quilt bug, but I have walked away from it before for personal reasons. I also scrapbook so much so I had owned a scrapbook store. I would keep the piano just as I have my scrapbook stuff because eventually I will get back into the photos and pages then back to the fabric. Then when I hit a "brain freeze" and feel uninspired I go to the other until the same thing hits.

I'm convinced our fabrics are treated with a magic addicting substance. All you have to do is fondle them to 'get it'. :hunf:
:-D
