When I have a sewing room again I want to paint it a soft yellow. I love Behr paints and your colour Custard Cream sounds really nice. I am going to have to check it out next time i am at home depot!

My sewing room is a soft rose colour with 3 windows.
Very sunny and bright.
My happy place.

Mine is a pale green called "mint shake" with accents of "buttercup" and "bittersweet chocolate". With these color names I had to use old sherbet glasses and make ice-cream sunday pincushions.

My old room was a very soft green and the new one is a cream. Both make a bright room and easy to have it bright
for those sewing projects.

When we bought our house four years ago, the room I picked for my sewing is in our walk out basement with lots of windows. I have a giant walk in closet with big double doors. I removed the closet shelves and bought 6 big heavy duty 84" tall chrome shelving units from Home Depot to stack my fabric and other paraphernalia on in the closet. The view I have is of the river and mountains, so I don't have any curtains up. The room was painted a lavender on one wall and purple on the others. I want to repaint it, but haven't yet because of doing so much other stuff to the house. When I do paint it, I want it to be a lighter color, as I need more lighting (IMHO, the more light, the better!) Maybe I'll get to it this winter!!

Periwinkle Blue with oak flooring and trim and lime green accents. Yes, I pick it and painted it. I made quilted curtains for the windows that roll up. I love it.

My sewing room was my son's bedroom and it is stark white. However it has allowed me to put up pictures, my cork board covers a large area and has all my favorite to do projects noted, also pictures of Sean Connery - hey I can look, right? I would like to do it over is a pale blue, but that is for another day. Anything blue works for me.

DH painted mine white - - though I hinted for just a "hint" of cream color to the white - but by time I have fabrics and toys put up, you can't see that much of the walls. I do have a soft floral, almost see through type fabric up to the sides of the window for color in a draw back fashion - don't want to inhibit a bit of the light I can get through the window, and I have fairly large mirrors that help bounce the light around. It is quite cheerful - and I use "daylight" bulbs.
