White or off-white.

I'm sure whatever you decide will be perfect. Just wanted to say - your quilt is beautiful!

Metallic thread is fragile and frustrating to hand quilt. Some quilters are successful while others are not. Consider this when choosing.

Love your quilt. What is the pattern? Look forward to seeing what you decide to do.

I thought a deep blue metallic thread might look great or even a burgundy metallic. I just started seriously quilting and used metallic a lot on my home machine with success. The metallic also comes in multi colors.
Your quilt will look stunning no matter what you use! Beautiful!

What is the element of your quilt that you want to highlight the most? The burgundy pattern? or, the big stitch snowflakes? If you use burgundy for the snowflakes, they will not be snowflakes; but, will balance the overall design. If you use very pale blue or white with a sparkle (metallic) the quilting will become the focus of your quilt. I would encourage you to stitch out a sample to see what you think-you can always make a pillow with your sample.

Its gorgeous now. Love that pattern and fabrics...I think i'd go with white thread! I feel any other color would detract from the bold blocks and draw the eye to the quilting. If your snow-flake design is elaborate, maybe you want it to dominate but if not, white or ivory would be my choice.
