You posted this quilt a while back asking for help choosing a backing. What did you pick?

If it is light I would use light thread. If dark, the reverse.
and what color batting did you choose?

It is a great quilt and I suggested B&W polk a dots for the back. Just curious!
    peace :D

Edit: nevermind! I missed the info. It will be wonderful!

I like the idea of grey to. If you want less quilting to show then black since there's much more of it than white :)

    Looks great!

a gray would work or black would blend in well and hide any boo-boos
white would really stand out if you want to enhance with quilting
there are some black & white varigated threads= or a colorful varigated would add something extra to it.

Break loose from the black/white and use red. It'll be barely noticeable as such, yet will give some zip to the final effect!

It is now 9.00 here in England so I am up. Thanks again for all your replies.
Ube quilting regarding the batting, I went with white cos the shops did not have black in stock, and I was impatient - "must learn patience" - write 100 times! I find it difficult to have more than one thing on the go at one time and would probably make different decisions if I could put a quilt to oneside while waiting for the exact thing I want. Was always told to finish what I was doing before starting something new, when growing up. LOL

Hooray, another Brit! I've seen black batting in some of the online shops, but we just don't have the quilt shops that they take for granted in the US, do we.

How about a not-terribly-bright colour such as blue? There are greyish blues around, that would be nice and subtle but still just enough for the thread to be visible against all the fabrics. I think grey could work but would be a bit dull. Have a look through the threads at the Cotton Patch, for instance. http://www.cottonpatch.co.uk/acatalo...g_Threads.html
