Any children in the your family, or friends who would like to learn how to quilt and sew, could make a super beginners machine?

I would take it to some store such as Goodwill or Salvation attaching a note with what may be wrong with the sewing machine.

A lot of churches in my area have quilt groups that sew for charity and are in need of machines that sew just the basics. You could check into that.

I would check with the Vintage sewing machine people on this board first and then go from there- they have great ideas
