I'm going to the camper with my dh next week...at job site and need to take something to do. There's not enough room for my sewing machine what with the kids and all and it would probably just trip breakers anyway. I guess I could make more Sue blocks for the girls quilts and maybe a few Sam blocks for the boys...

How about some English Paper Piecing? I love my Apple Core quilting to take along.

Or Red Work for something different to do.

I've never done paper piecing (and honestly am scared to try) and never done yoyo's. I will only have internet access in the evenings too when dh gets home.

English paper piecing is great. I haven't tried regular PP, but I take my English paper piecing everywhere I go. Give it a try. PM me if you have any questions.

Ditto!
I can't machine paper piece to save my life, but I can whip out some English paper pieced hexagons like no bodies business! lol I have a ziploc bag with three envelopes in it, one is for fabric squares, one is for hexagon papers, and one is for finished hexagons. Then in the bag I have a pair of snipps, a spool of thread, extra needles, and a glue stick. I tote this bag with me every where I go and normally keep it in the car. It doesn't take up much room but it comes in handy while sitting at four hour Girl Scout meets!

I am sure you will find something fun to do!

I keep a bag with a Cross-Stitch Quilt top that has been in progress for 2 yrs. for this very type of occasion. Doesn't require much room and east to grab & go. All supplies get left in the bag at all times unless I am working on it.

well I have more Sue blocks ready to be put together. I still have Sue quilts to make for my girls so I can take those with me easily.
