That's a Win-Win for all.

Mine have been given to friends for weddings, house warmings, first apartments for my kids, gifts of comfort in times of loss and the next one's going to be for me, if I can decide on just one pattern...

Since I am pretty new at it, I haven't that many finished pieces to account for. I am keeping my first as a bedspread in my guest room. The others so far have been gifts. The next few will also be gifts, as my goal is to make one for each of my children and grandchildren that want one. In between that tho, there will be one special one that is going to be for my DH and I to go on our bed in our new master bedroom. I will have to fit it in between projects, but my goal is to have it finished by our 40th anniversary in 2 years from now.

My first (well really second) was a lap size and I made it just for me. Working on numbers 3 & 4 now and they will both be giveaways.

you could also search for the purple turtle on facebook - there's more pictures there...
