I make all kind of things. Sewing machine covers or mats with pockets to hold supplies, Snips and thread catchers, small clutches, mug rugs for gifts. My daughter immediately stole this to use for her jewelry when she travels.

I cut hearts out to sew onto birthday cards for my family and friends.

I'm taking the scraps from one of my quilts and making a pillow cover with them.

I save them for scrap quilts and applique if they're over 1 1/2". Otherwise, I send them to the landfill to dress things up a bit! :-))

I have started to make little zippered bags and totes with larger scraps. I would love to make toothbrush rugs, but we can't have any rugs at all around due to the tripping hazard. The only one I have is the one in front of the area where I fold clothes because neither potential tripee comes into that room.

Little tiny pieces go into the trash. The rest go back into quilts--scrappy or otherwise. A few end up on the floor to be used for cat toys.

He he.. I let the DGDs come in and raid - they love digging through my scraps and take some home and make doll and bear clothes. I don't for sure know what all they do with them but they sure do love scraps. The older DGD made her little sisters some doll quilts for presents. They'll even offer to clean the floor just to see what there is. They stay busy sorting old buttons too.

I love it. My girlfriend designs Barbie furniture, so she gets first choice, then I donate either to the Local quilting group that makes Charity quilts or the local schools.

Very nice. I've just recently started doing this. So far mine have been totally scrappy. I like the way you have controlled the colors. What width strips do you use?
