I also save most of my scraps and make scrap quilts out of them. In fact, I've only been making scrap quilts for the past year and a half, very rarely buy any fabric, except maybe blenders or for sashings. Some of the most beautiful quilts are scrap quilts!

I like to make placemats with 2 1/2 inch assorted squares. They need 9 squares across and 6 or 7 down to make the mats measure 18 x 12 or 18 x 14. I can never have enough mats as they wear out quickly.

Default Of course I keep my scraps!!!!

A scrap keeper here, too. And lots of QB (quilt buddies) save their small ones for me. I'm working on a project with these "canned" fabrics.
