I once made a charity quilt with a boy in mind using plaids. The pattern I used is Arkansas Crossroads. It is an easy quilt. The second page shows how the whole quilt would look.

I have made two "Crown Royal" blankets. One for my brother-in-law for his 50th birthday on Christmas Day 2004. Then my daughter asked me to make one for her father-in-law for his 70th birthday this year. I made them with gold and royal purple fleece and inserts of the fronts of crown royal bags. The men like them and use them.

I find it hard to find patterns for guys quilts to. So I am making my own patterns. My son has a older red Mustang and decided to make his quilt with the word "Mustang" in very large red letters on deep blue fabric. on the boarders I am putting a sillowet of a mustang horse in silver mattalic fabric on each side of the quilt and put the Ford symbols in the corners. Might come up with a few more ideas for the quilt.

My male family members still like getting new rice bags every year. We warm them in the microwave and slide them into the foot of the bed while tooth brushing. Then when you get into that cold bed in the winter - the foot area is really warm. One year my sister and I make 200 of them. We took them to the senior centers too and they loved them.
