Amen to this! I have an old singer from my grandmother that has the knee power bar. Given the choice of having that or a needle drop knee bar I would take the Power one any day!! Any sewing machine company reading this?????

Quote: Boy do I ever agree with that!! I never use the knee lift because I just can't stop myself from trying to control the power instead of lifting the presser foot.

Quote: If you have carpet, put a strip of Velcro on the bottom, the side with the hooks.
That is exactly what I did and it WORKS!!!!!! Edie

turn the pedal around so the cord is toward you, it works for me!

I glued some rubbery, bumpy shelf liner to the bottom of my foot pedal and it stopped the shifting immediately!

My son made a 3 sided wood frame for my pedal to fit in then screwed it to the floor and it works just great.

I have the problem of slippage too but at least as aggravating to me is the fact that the Pfaff cord is too short. I guess I have longer legs than most? My sewing counter is only a couple inches taller than most but I am still not comfortable using the pedal both because it slips around and is never as far back under the table as I think it is. LOL Must try using some of the shelf liner. I have vinyl tile on floor at present.

I just chase it around. Ii figure my leg and foot need some exercize now and then

I use one of those rubber type shelf liners, and it works pretty well, plus I have my second sewing machine under my sewing table, so it can't go far if it decides to wander; otherwise the foot pedal behaves pretty well.

I put Velcro tape on the Pedal as well as on the floor. Works like charm. Flooring as well as carpet.

Quote: I just use masking tape to tape it to the floor. It works just fine.
Wish I'd thought of that. I'm about ready to nail my down!
