Lucky you! I found several rulers, small cutting mats at a garage sale a few years ago and they weren't marked and the "guy" running the sale, said he did not even know what they were, so he priced them at 5¢ apiece!!!!!

I'm doing a quilt run today! I'm running to the estate sales and thrift stores to see what I can find. Taking small bills. They don't like it when you do a deal and then ask for change for a 20 or a 50. Can't blame them when they ask for 5 and you offer 3.50 then give them a 20 and ask for change. Rude!

Thanks for all your responses. Yes - I love yard sales and thrift stores. I am now into Estate sales. Gotta love em.

Nice find! I'm at thrift stores all the time looking for my nephews. I usually never make it past boys clothes, shoes, and toys.

That is fantastic! My grandson loves to sew - he just turned 6. I don't know what he has done with my ruler that I use with my cutter!

I LOVE thrift stores.
If you want to find even more stuff like that, check out list-alert. It searches your local Craigslist at night while you sleep and sends you one e mail with a summary of all of the things available based on your terms. I have my e mail set to come in at 5am every morning. It is the first thing that I read. For example, I have terms: quilting supplies; sewing; estate sale; viking; and procion (for dyeing). So when someone makes an ad for quilting supplies they are selling, you will get the ad and photos the next morning. It is great. You can select nearby communities. Hope this helps you find more gems.
