Sounds like Janome is the most popular - I have a Viking Designer SE...works great. I was going to get the Janome 7700 but it doesn't do anything mine can't already do and it does it better - so I will stick with what I have. I don't think I would buy another China made Viking though.

Bernina 140, Singer Featherweight (with scrolly side as opposed to the striped one) Babylock Inspire, APQS Liberty that takes up my whole dining room. I sold a Janome Gem to a friend whose machine broke and she didn't have the money to buy another machine at that time.

My Viking and Mille are used the most. The older I get the more I think that I need to get rid of some of these, but I love them! :thumbup:
