    To me these categorie already exist;
    1. Traditional
    2. Art

    To me modern stresses design and elegance

    Temperature quilts are modern to me because of the random nature of the colors. If you size the colors differently from one another, that would make it even more modern assuming a blocky style. As I overthink this, if you use a dresden plate style placement for the temps and the leaves are different lengths, that would be more modern than traditional. So a temp quilt using identical leaf lengths could be considered traditional.

    I don't think temperature quilts have been around long enough to be called traditional.
