I believe you could PP this block in 4 sections and then sew together. I love the look of this pattern. Looks so difficult but is not.

Hi Jenbro -- The finished block is 8.5 inches by 8.5 inches (well, most of them are). Give your brother a big hug!

I am always amazed at what you all do in EQ. This is a great pattern. I have a slightly different vision of the larger piece that I would call a kite. To me it looks like the two short angles are equal on each side and the point is at the center of the intersecting seam. This is just an observation. I think what everyone did to create this is fabulous. I wish I knew EQ.

I am old school and will draw it out on graph paper. Thanks so much for all the work everyone put into this beauty.
