Default What needle to use...

I'd like to learn hand-quilting. What kind of needle would be good to use?

some people quilt with betweens- some use sharps, some use milners- it is a personal choice- betweens are quite tiny (like 3/4" long) sharps are a little longer- milners are much longer- many of the (famous) hand quilters use a tiny tiny needle---some people prefer one that is longer-
you may want to visit the lqs-and pick up a couple different packages to try- they are not expensive- i use John James and Roxanne needles for hand work--sizes 10-12's generally

I also like betweens...I use Jeanna Kimball's size 10. I think getting down to a shorter needle takes time. At least it did for me.

I use inbetweens but the size I use depend on the material and blocks. Just dive in and try different things. You'll do just great! Time will give you practice and you will get the hang of it!
