The part I hate the most is ... sandwiching I don't have enough room to lay everything out. I've got to many quilt inspectors wanting to get in the act. I love the binding part it means a finish is getting near.

Binding, binding and binding. And seam ripping...where's the "undo" button on my sewing machine?

Least favorite: layering and pin basting on the floor. However, that should be better now; I bought three folding tables and elastic strips as described in Leah Day's FMQ Craftsy class, for doing that. Hope it works, as I have two recently finished tops to try it on.

I have carpal tunnel syndrome and I don't hand-sew bindings any more. Instead I machine sew the binding on to the back and then use a fancy machine stitch to finish it on the front. I'm please with the result.

I love choosing colors (I don't like kits but have done many); rotary cutting; piecing; machine applique (but don't ask about days 8-12 of the 12 days of Christmas...); straight and FMQ. FMQ is even better with the 11" throat on my current machine. Yeah!

I dislike the sandwiching and quilting, also making the backing - I hate all the configuring I have to do so that I don't waste too much material. Thank goiodness the extra wide fabrics are now coming out with more colors and patterns. Making the top and binding are the fun parts. Guess that's why I have so many tops and not that many completed quilts!!
