I love sitting down and doing the hand sewing of the binding to back, after all is completed. Love having that finished project all around me. It is a peaceful time for me.

I love planning and selecting fabric the most, then the piecing process. I hate having to wait if I am prewashing fabric LOL. Cutting can be annoying at times because my back will hurt or maybe the cutting instructions aren't the most practical. I put off the quilting part because I'm not very good and need more practice,

I love the planning, and the cutting, then the quilting the best!

When the people receive the quilt. The look of love and surprise on their face is worth all the work, time and effort that was put into the quilt. Them realizing how much you really love them when they see it is just priceless.

Still pretty new but I love the piecing. I've often told my DH that I'm going to have lots of tops and no quilts. But then I haven't tried the sandwiching and quilting yet.

I also like cutting but my precision needs to get a little better. Am getting better - and therefore liking more - the selection of the fabrics.

I love the whole process, finishing is my ultimate goal and joy. But my absolute favorite part is the planning and dreaming part;choosing the fabrics, buying them, and then cutting them and putting them together. I am always amazed at the transformation of beautiful fabrics to various patterns and designs. I used to not like the quilting process, but now I am enjoying machine quilting a lot more, I guess I am beginning to realize what I am doing here, lol

Wouldn't it be fun to go to a community center with all of you each day (instead of the computer), have one wall of scraps, stash, threads, patterns. Lots of tables with machines, cutters, stuff, and the end wall for quilters, long arms, etc. There would also have to be a nice big attached kitchen for yummy food (quilters also cook). No quilting police, but pets are allowed. I think there would be a lot of productivity cuz it would be too fun to go home. Oh yes, there is an evening shift for those night owls. You get to take home quilts when you need one, we could get wedding gifts out in a day! This is sounding better and better!
