Default what is this pattern called?

I saw a pattern in a magazine many months ago that had this look to it. This is the closest I can find to what I saw. What I want is the over-all diamond shape.....not the log cabins turned into the diamond shaped. I know the pattern had triangle that were sewn together, then arranged with the color/solids to line up to make the larger diamond.....I'm not very good at explaining. Sorry.

I will be watching this for an answer...I first thought it was log cabin in that special configuration. Sure is beautiful.

This is one of my favorite log cabin settings. I have made it many times using half square triangles (one half dark and the other half light). Just make a bunch in the colors you want and put it up on the design wall to get the setting right. It is usually just a matter of putting the light and dark turned around the correct way.

I think this might be what you mean. It's all half square triangles, very easy, and there are so many ways you can set it for different effects.

    Hope this helps,
