I could never pick just one. They each have their own beauty.

There is a quilt that was in my first book, I still want to make it. Carpenter's square. I have had 2 bolts of fabric to make it for probably 15 years. I have been waiting until I am skilled enough to make it.

Oh yes, there are so many that I like because of colors.
I really like "Raptureready's avator" but unless I did it in the exact colors it would defeat what I want.
Been waiting to tell her that since I first saw this bd.

My favorite is a scrap quilt made from pink, green, and white fabrics. I pieced small rail fence blocks, each with a pink, white and green strip. I used the pale pinks and pale greens on some and darker greens and darker pinks on others and put them together in kind of a colorwash fashion. It turned out too long and narrow to suit me so I cut a wide border for one side and added appliqued flowers and stems and leaves up the side and then put a dark green border around it all and it is truly beautiful. No pattern, just made it up as it went along. Everyone loves it.

I don't do well with patterns, I just use the general idea and put my own twist on it. But I do love stripe quilts.
