What IS PUL fabric and how easy is it to use?
My niece is asking about PUL fabric and I had to admit I've never used it even though we have discussed it here.
What is it exactly and is it easy to use?

I've seen it at JoAnn's and at Tuesday Morning on a bolt, wondering how I could use it. It feels pretty good given it's waterproof. Although I have read that if it is pierced by a needle, that mitigates the waterproof part.

It is often used for cloth diaper covers. I did a bit of research, you need to check the brand and look at their website. Some brands will actually seal around the stitches in heat of the dryer. I was thinking about using it for a waterproof quilt backing on a picnic quilt.

It's easy to sew with, but I use a Teflon foot. I've made TONS of sandwich wraps with it and it keeps them fresh and easy to just wipe clean. It goes through the washing machine well also. Much nice than sandwich bags as they double as a placemat too.
