The other day I recieved a call from my oldest son which is like 31. And we visited for quite a while. In the course of the conversation he said,"Mom, I would like for you to make me another quilt for my bed." I said, why is that? and he said,"Because they are so comfortable, and way different than what you find in the store." I told him that I would see what I could come up with for him for Christmas. Asked him what colors for his room and he said, chocolate brown and baby blue.lol So I guess I will get to thinking of what pattern. But this lets a quilting mom know that what she was doing sunk in somewhere along the way.lol

AW, what a compliment! Can't wait to see what you come up with.

yes, it is a good feeling. I'm finishing up a quilt for my 15 year old son. He told me not to tell him what it was going to look like because he likes it when I make things up. My only directions were to use cool colors and no flowers ;-)

Gotta love that! My 27 year old still has his quilt across the bottom of his bed where it's been for at least 10 years (and he's moved 3 or 4 times) I just wonder if he's ever washed it.... Might ask him to bring it next time he comes out, so I can check it. I know the applique has been beat up some.

Would love to see the quilt. He is right, "they are more comfortable than the ones you buy in the store especially knowing it is made with love.

My 29 year old son still has his baby quilt...he about had an attack when he saw his daughter with it... luckily my DIL calmed him and then put the quilt back up. He does share it with the girls now but it was a shock he said to see them with it.

When he found out they were expecting their first child, he asked if I was going to make a quilt and a blanket (afghan)for her ...that's the only reason I started sewing again...now look where I am :) darn his hide.
