Default What Quilty Prize Would Make You Want to Buy a Raffle Ticket?

My guild does a fun prize patrol raffle at each business meeting. I get to do the shopping this year! Tickets are one for $1.00 and six for $5.00. Any money collected can be used to buy the items for the next month.

I was told to have four things at each raffle. I think the most I would want to spend on one item would be $30 (that's $60 at JoAnn Fabrics with a coupon).

I already have some specialty rulers, books, patterns, travel iron, and a bottle of Mary Ellen's Best Press.

What items would make you want to buy a raffle ticket?

Double Wedding Ring would have me at the front of the line. I absolutely love them.

Oooooo... those sound great! What brand of piecing thread would you want? I use Prescencia, but I don't think many people know that brand.

I'm confused... I know that there is a quilt pattern called a Double Wedding Ring. Are you talking about a pattern? Do you know of a specific one that you'd like?

Large package of nice batting, a 5 pack of Olfa 45mm rotary replacement blades, a rotating cutting mat, and a combo set of Best Press and 505 Spray.

Is fabric allowed? Then maybe a fat quarter bundle or a layer cake or charm packs. Or maybe different quilting magazines.

I also think that Jeanne's ideas are spot on, especially the replacement blades (they're expensive but it's soooo nice when you get to cut with a new one! ).

Rotating cutting mat, the expensive spring loaded scissors for rag quilts, the large Twister ruler with the pattern book to go with it, Quilt in a Day scallop ruler and instruction book, a big package of Wonder Clips....

I like this idea. Does the winner get all four prizes or chooses one and a new one is added for the next raffle?

None of them. If I wanted it, I'd need it long before the raffle was held and buy it myself. I wouldn't be adverse to a donation and NO ticket.
