What do you all use to tie a baby quilt? I was going to use crochet cotton. Cutting threads short. Does anyone else use this?

I used to tie but now I bar tack...it does the same keeps the batting in place and I like it because there are no ties for the babies to possibky get loose and choke on.
Just a thought....

I use emb. floss or pearle cotton. Use 100% cotton. Tying a square knot helps too.

I use pearl cotton or embroidery floss. After I tie the tie I trim the tails to the depth of the first knuckle on my index finger. That length doesn't change through the whole quilt. It is about an inch.

When I hem children's clothes, I use the width of my pinkie to space the stitches and for older children I use my thumb as a spacer.

I figure that before there were rulers and such; people had to use some sort of measure. For me it is what is handy therefore my fingers.

Perle cotton...looks nice and ties easily without fuzzing or fraying.
