    What size stitch do you all use for doing SID.

    about 8-10 stitches per inch.

    I use the default stitch length on whichever machine I am using.

    I go with the widest, longest stitch / which, I think, makes it more like a hand quilted one.. I may be wrong about that.......if I am using invisible thread, I do it shorter.

    Great question! I've been using the default on my machine (Bernina 440) 2.40 but next time I will try something a bit longer.

    2.5 (default) to a 3.

    3 to 3.5 on my machine where I normally use 2 to 2.5 for piecing.

    what size stitch do you like the looks of?
    some people like them a bit on the longer side- so they show up- some like them tiny- some people stitch right in the ditch- and you do not even see them-so it really doesn't matter.
    everyone as they do it figure out what they like- and do that.

    I like 4. I noticed it looks more like what my sister's long arm uses, and I like the look. (It is also quicker...)
