I like the pillow idea! My sofa cushions could use a new look. Now I have to figure out how to do a rag quilt. Thanks!!

These look like they were left overs from a rag quilt

Rag quilt sounds like a great idea. Make it as big as you can. We have a "cat blanket" which just covers the lap for our cat who still has his claws.

    Could they become pot holders?

If they're really heavy, perhaps they were for making bags? The super heavy felt would be to give it body... just thinking...

My 1st impression is for a rag quilt. worth a try, you could make a rag purse/tote bag combination.

Thanks for all the replies. I looked up how to make a rag quilt and decided it's not something I'm interested in pursing right now. In order to fit all my new fabrics on my shelves, I am giving some away. I've added these items to the give away pile. I included a description of what they are and what can be done with them based on your comments. I'm giving them to a new sewist so hopefully she'll make something nice with them.

You are wise. I'm sure she'll be tickled pink to get some nice things. Just like Christmas.
