Jan, how much would you charge me to make one? If you'll do it cheaper, I'll buy it from you! ;)

That looks handy. At present, I use a small pair of pliers to pull my needle out.

I keep a pair of tweezers close by and I use them when I occassionally can't pull the needle through. It works like a charm.

I use the flat tipped jeweler's tweezers you can find at Hobby lobby etc and they work fine...if you need more grip put duct tape on the ends of the tweezers..

Why not I have seen 36 inches of woven thread (a yard of fabric) cost just as much!

However my sister uses a pair of hemostats.

It is interesting to read that actually the needle puller is not so common in US! I know that many quilters here in Germany have it. Maybe the reason is that a very well known hand quilting teacher here (she is Amish) uses and recommends it in her workshops.

When I have to, which isn't very often, I use a pair of tweezers that I got at Walmart for $1.49

I use those little round grip things...not sure what they are called but it's just a little round circle about 1 1/4" or so across and it's quick, easy and extremely cheap!

It looks a bit awkward but you probably get used it and can't live without it. I use small needle nose when I used to hand quilt with my group, but I use them for beading on leather too. You get in the swing of going along and they don't seem to be a problem. I want to try it though! I love new gadgets!

I have one and love it. Great when you are taking a few stitches at a time.
