Default What a way to go ... home!

DH and I are on our way home from a ski holiday. It's our first Christmas being away from DDs and their families, and I didn't want to spend it at home having a pity party! The trip has been great.

We left for home today. DH stopped at 3 quilt shops for me on the way home. I'm purchasing a batik fat quarter at each shop for a quilt pattern I'll make once I have collected 12 fat quarters.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I am away for Christmas too. I stopped in a quilt shop on Christmas Eve and bought myself a present. We start the trip home tomorrow. There will not be time to stop to shop on the way, but that is ok.

My late DH and I did the 4 corners on our bikes. He always made me put together a list of quilt shops to visit before we left for every trip. We shipped big boxes home and I got to enjoy opening those packages when we returned. He was a wonderful fabric buying enabler and always fussed that I didn't buy enough! I am still enjoying the fond memories from those wonderful travels every time I raid my stash! How I still love and miss that dear man.
