Default What would you do with a cracker?

I have been given a package of Hoffman Bali Crackers - 40 ten inch squares in exquisite berry and green colored batiks. What pattern would you consider for a quilt? Thanks so much for your suggestions.

Have you seen Missouri Star Quilt Co.'s double slice layer cake tutorial? It makes a very pretty quilt.

What is the difference between a layer cake and a cracker? Do manufacturers determine how many slices or squares are in each like those who make jelly rolls?
I would like a pattern that will use 30-40 of the 10 inch squares without having to buy additional fabric for the cover.
Thanks

I think "crackers" is simply the Hoffman manufacturer Bali version of the "layer cake". They are both 10" squares. Bali has crackers and snaps (5" squares).

The books I mentioned above provide the same patterns for 10" squares and 5" squares. For the 10" squares, the patterns typically require two packs of layer cakes. I don't have the books here now, so I can't tell how many 5" squares the smaller quilts take. I am thinking you could make the smaller quilts by cutting your 10" squares into 4-5" squares, but not sure.

"crackers" that's a new one on me.

I can think of many, many patterns that would be great with a cream batik added in. What patterns do you favor?
