Depending on the size I would do a 'border' of pieced blocks then another solid border then sandwich and bind.

I got the same panel. I backed it with John Deere flece and just quilted a grid with my walking foot. I pulled the backing to the front for the binding. Made a really fast baby quilt.

I would just find coordinating fabric and do borders. That panel is so cute.

I have the very same one and did the same thing that KatFish suggested. I bought John Deere fleece and bordered and backed it with it. The sides are tied like a fleece blanket would be. Simply adorable!

I have some John Deere fat quarters that I would use around the panel.
