How about this? Just came across this woman's blog (I think she might be a member of this board) and there is a lovely flower block top about 5 photos down. They are not on point and in the photo at least, the flower blocks stand out and are not overshadowed by what's around them. You might even be able to get more than one quilt out of these. Just another suggestion.

Forgive my memory loss. LOL. I just remembered a quilt a friend had on her bed. The flower blocks like yours were surrounded by a couple of log cabin like strip sets. When put together there are four strips next to each other. It is a very attractive quilt and the flowers are not lost in the design.
