Post What yo think about combination: classy bed and early 19th century quilt

I am browsing forum for some time, and found this thread, about 19th century quilts, and post by "craftybear" with link to those 19th century quilts.

I decided to buy brass bed, and considering is it wired combination, this kind of a bed and that beautiful old fashioned quilts?

Here are few pictures of beds that I am considering:

i think they look just fine. i probably would not like it as much with the very shiny brass colored, though.

It would be a terrific combo! It is your bed, so make it as you want to!

I think ANY quilt, 19th century or modern style would look beautiful on any brass bed.

I love the look! I have several "old" looking quilts for my big brass bed! Looks so cozy and friendly.

To me decorative brass beds speak of the late Victorian era, about 1880-1900. A crazy quilt is particularly reminiscent of that period.

Have fun with it!

I'm with feline fanatic, I think any of them would work very well.

The first bed pictured does have a bit more of a modern look, but the quilts you have pictured would certainly all look great on it. Go for it!

I think "old meets new" is a great look! Please let us know which bed &/or quilt you get!
