I'm makin nine pillows, one for DD, DSIL, DS, DDIL and five grands. Each one will be a snowman, personalized to depict the person who receives it. For example, my DSs will be wearing a toolbelt with tools hanging from it, and he'll be holding a golfclub. I might put him in an apron because he loves to cook too. I'm going to just have fun with them.

Just discovered how fun it is to make place mats and table runners with QAYG technique using strips/strings of fabric.

Yes probably the above and mug rugs for friends or my daughters' in-laws.

I am thinking of trying the bed runners that I have been seeing. I have several relatives with plain white or cream bedspreads and I think a nice bed runner would be perfect and will give this "newbie" a chance to try out machine quilting...ya think?????

I think your idea is great. Would love to see a photo(s).

How do you plan to have them attached for hanging? Will they be hanging over one of the backs of a front seat? :-D

Do you have a link for these? They sound interesting. :-D

I'm making quilted placemats for my son and his wife for Christmas, and maybe matching napkins if the fabric is unique and hard to match. I'm also going to finish the patchwork tree skirt with matching stockings for my son, my DIL and of course granddaughter. They didn't get finished for last Christmas, got lost in the shuffle of packing and moving, but will finish them for this year. My son, however, told me I have to make the stockings smaller, as he thought they were too big. Oh well. I'd like to also make myself a new tree skirt with matching stockings - just for show, after all the one we use now is over 25 years old. Can't say my quilted items don't last.

Pillow cases, I made them in flannel one year and it was a cold winter, everyone loved them.

I'm only making several things this year ... a memory quilt of my grandsons' baseball season and another memory quilt for my granddaughter's first year. I'll also make some small wallets and include a gift card to the favorite splurge place!
