Stitchnripper I have that same problem about the binding! I guess we just need practice.

I love the process, but I go in phases. Sometimes I love cutting (so I cut out 3-4 tops at once), sometimes I love the piecing (so I'll sew for days), sometimes I love the pressing (so I press for hours on end), and sometimes I love the quilting (so I'll quilt several tops in a few days). Binding isn't my favorite part, but I do love when I have a finished quilt at the end! So I guess I love it all, just not all at the same time. Between my phases I manage to finish my projects though.

My favorite, I love to choose material and if i didn't make it into quilts i wouldn't have an excuse to buy it. I do enjoy the whole process though.

I love planning the colors, picking the fabric the "looks" right and then making those first few blocks. I do NOT particularly like the sandwiching and actual quilting nearly as much as the planning.

I really had to think about this. I enjoy picking out the fabric, then the washing and ironing. But my most favorite thing is seeing the smiles from the person I gifted it to.

I love the moment it comes out of the dryer, and I find everything is still all together. I get to 'trial snuggle' a brand new pre-warmed quilt. The best feeling in the world!

The binding, of course! Because that means I can get on to the next one!

I'm also a topper -- I like the design & sewing process, but the sandwiching & quilting process frustrate me yet.
