Burgoyne Surround in scrappy, I loved making this one!! It was done with solids. Perhaps I should say controlled scrappy, she picked the colors, I cut the squares, shook them into a paper bag and whatever I pulled out, I sewed!

Strings for me. I keep a basket for the "droppings" and when I get quite a few, I sit down and sew....Mindless and relaxing. I buy the foundation papers at Costco.....the waxed sandwich liners. Cheap and always handy.......I usually make piles of 10 and then pull the papers off in the evenings, watching TV. Doesn't take long and again is mindless and kind of fun!

As many members have already stated, I think the Log Cabin is striking when done in scraps. This morning I watched a Missouri Star Quilt Co. video showing how to make a scrappy crazy patch block. That is on my next 'to do' list. I love it. There are many wonderful ideas out there and the only problem is making time to do all the ones I would love to do.

I like Bonnie Hunter's Blue Ridge Beauty quilt. I believe it is in her "Adventures with Leaders & Enders Book. I made mine off center.

I love scrappy quilts! I spent all of 2013 making scrappy quilts. I made 9 of them to give to kids and grandkids for Christmas presents Some of the patterns I did included Road to Arkansas, Disappearing nine patch, Log Cabin, X's and O's, a snowball square combined with a nine patch.
